Senior Pictures for Guys
Make A Bold Statement.Angular Lines & Strong Shadows... Artfully Presented.
If you tell a guy that he’s going to dosenior pictures, he will give you a look like he’s going to dentist for surgery without Novocain! LOL… HOWEVER, by the THIRD picture I show a senior guy, he is hooked. I take cutting edge, fashion forward senior pictures for guys. The typical senior guy hates getting senior pictures done, but look what my clients say about their experience!
For once, your son, will look and feel cool when he see’s his senior pictures. I constantly hear, “wow”, “bad ass”, “thats me?!?!”, … when they see their senior pictures. I get images mom never thought possible.
You see, most photographers photograph MAINLY girls and simply are uncomfortable photographing & posing guys therefore guys feel awkward thus look awkward.
As the years pass, the more I tend to specialize in senior pictures for guys! I try to give my senior guys a “James Dean” cool feel to the images. Senior pictures that should be on the cover of magazines is my goal. A coolness and swagger guys deserve.
Senior photography has changed since we were in high school. Guys never got their fair shake at cool senior pictures with great poses, killer lighting, and striking moods. Now they do!
Most guys have have NOT been professionally photographed since they were 2 years old. I KNOW b/c I ask all my clients. This is the year – let’s do it and let’s do it right!
You deserve a George Dean Portrait!
Make sure you review the clothing guide for guys. There are lots of tips for senior pictures for guys on that page.
Clothes can make a man! It certainly can make or break a senior session!
I love to get down to business with a killer suit! When was the last time you had a gorgeous picture of your son in a suit? Do rent one or buy one! A tuxedo is even better! Every man deserves a nice suit!
If the senior guy is into sports, BRING EVERYTHING and let me create something cool for you! Not, just the helmet, or the fishing pole, bring EVERYTHING – please. Let me create magic for you.
We can create cool style of images for your son. I want to feel and bring his style forward AND show him a cool side he never knew existed.
We will do a few smiley “head looking right at the camera” pictures, but the real genius of my skills rests outside the typical senior pictures. Be sure to bring me lots of clothing choices as described in this clothing video. There are plenty of tips in that video and the clothing guide.
The clothing and attitude of senior guy TELLS me how to pose and how to light him thus creating the mood of the senior portrait.
Your son deserves amazing senior pictures. Invest in an artist to create them for you!

"George, the way you use your lighting and the backgrounds you choose adds to the story each photograph tells without words."
George, First we would like to thank you for an amazing experience with Tanner's senior photo session! He isn't one to want his picture taken but you got him to relax and have fun with it.
He ended up being so proud of his photos that he shared them with all of his friends.
George, I discovered your photography years ago when a friend of ours told me about the slide show on your website. I can't tell you how many times I watched it. Every time I felt emotionally moved by the way you are able to capture the unguarded and innocent beauty of each individual you photograph.
The way you use your lighting and the backgrounds you choose adds to the story each photograph tells without words.
So we wanted you to tell some of Tanner's Stories. He has so many and you found a lot of them.
We waited almost 5 years to have a senior session with you!
We will cherish the experience and every single photograph forever! Thank you George!
Lynn Caples (mom of Tanner)

George's Response: WOW.... Thanks so much Lynn. Photographing young men can be a challenge. It was a pleasure showing the real Tanner in his images. Can't wait to photograph the entire family soon!
At the conclusion of the photo shoot, unprompted by me, my son stopped George and said "I have to tell you that I have done a lot of photo shoots, my Mom loves pictures, and this is the BEST experience I have ever had having my pictures taken.
So many photographers try to make me do poses and faces that guys don't do. I can honestly say I enjoyed having my pictures taken by you.
You really let me be myself, and I just want to "Thank You" for taking my pictures. I am actually really excited to see them."
When I scheduled Adaryan's Senior pictures I got the usual negative reaction. As a Mom of boys, it is one I have come to expect; moans of despair and excuses of any and every kind as to why he did not need pictures. I sent every link that George provided for guidance to my son. The week before the shoot we picked out clothes, and they day of the shoot we packed the car, and I took him to eat. As George knows and cautioned, there is nothing more unbearable than a hungry teenager, especially a teenage boy.
George met us in the parking lot with a smile, and helped us unload. Adaryan wasn't happy to be there, but George immediately started interacting with him; asking him questions, getting a sense of who he was and what his Senior pictures should represent. George was great with Adaryan throughout the shoot, working with him on outfits that Adaryan would normally wear, allowing him to really represent who he was.
I sat quietly in the waiting area hoping this would be as painless as possible.
I am actually really excited to see them." You could have picked me off the floor with a feather. Never, in 18 years, has my son paid a compliment to a photographer much less such a honest and kind one.
The day we were supposed to drive the 40 miles to preview the pictures an ice storm hit and we had to reschedule. Adaryan asked me to try to reschedule soon because he was looking forward to seeing the pictures. I was so happy that he was as excited as I was. George got us in the next night and without a moment of hesitation, and no moans of despair Adaryan and I drove to see the pictures. What a treat we had in store. The pictures were amazing.
There was not a single picture that Adaryan didn't like. As we previewed the pictures I cried...more than once.
I saw my baby boy in the eyes that stared back at me, but the face was that of a beautiful man. My heart dropped, I had no words...only tears.
George exceeded my wildest expectations.
George not only captured great traditional pictures, but he captured my baby boy. His eyes. His love. His story.
The little boy I have cherished since they placed him on my chest when he was first born. George captured beyond what the world sees, his images spoke to my heart as his mother.
If you want pictures that will capture the moment and take you back in time, a mix of traditional and timeless pieces your search is over. George Dean is nothing short of amazing!

George's Response: Wow. Wow Wow. What can I man say with such beautiful words. Thank you kindly. What an amazing family you have Miranda. I am blessed to have such amazing clients. Truly. Thank You. I know we will be photographing again very soon. BTW, you have raised an amazing young man. Well mannered, intelligent, & insightful.
"I appreciate your willingness to embrace individuality. For some of the Seniors, I 'm sure it's a much needed break in all the stress surrounding them at this time in their lives. Spending a couple of hours with someone who is asking about their likes/dislikes, complimenting them and basically reminding them there is no "wrong way" to just be themselves has to be refreshing!"
"The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things,
but their inward significance." Aristotle
Please know that the delay in my sending you a note, expressing my appreciation for your amazing work, is due to my inability to come up with words that accurately express my heart. I realized the reason the words could not be found was because Aristotle had already used them!
Your gift is undeniable! Your knowledge of lighting is impeccable.
You and I both know, lighting can be the difference in a good photograph and a great photograph! I love your heart for what you do. You really do take an interest in every person you photograph. It blesses me that you remember little things about each photograph AND the person in it! At the time, you had no idea that I actually knew the majority of the people I asked you about. Your genuine interest and admiration was apparent .

My only concern with his Senior photo session was Jacobs ability to disengage in a situation,when/if he loses interest. (Pretending to be "present" in a situation is not one of the gifts that God has given to Jacob) You will never fully understand how happy it made me to see the photographs. You were able to capture the core of who Jacob truly is. Who he is at this moment, who he has always been and who he is destined to be!
So many people have said the photographs are true works of art. My husband and I agree. The saying "you get what you pay for" is surely accurate when referring to professional photography. Sometimes you pay for much better than you actually get in the end! The quality of experience you provide along with the quality of product is worth the cost. In a society where no one actually prints photographs anymore, having not just a photograph, but a work of art hanging in your home is priceless! I always tell my kids that if there is ever an emergency in our home, grab the photographs because everything else is replaceable!
Thank you for using the gift God has given you to bless me.
George's Response: Tracey, as a former Ms Texas, you indeed appreciate beautiful 'lighting'. Thank you for loving my photographic artwork so much. It means the world to me - truly. I know will do it again and can't wait.
"Not only is George Dean a great photographer, but he is a visionary. Once he feels the instinct for a shot he is able to create artwork.
It was a day that I did not want to end. I am so appreciative of the time George spent to make me feel so special."
Letter from Erik
I originally dreaded the idea of going to take senior pictures, but when when I sat down with my mom and searched for a photographer we came to a halt on George Dean's website. He presents an enticing spin on traditionally photography because his pieces reflect true artist and eye. Upon arrival we received his help at the door and his professional direction for the shoot, which put my worries to ease.
It was so easy to be comfortable in his studio as he captured so many different shots reflecting my actual personality and soul. Like he said "My shots are something you won't get anywhere else." With his lighting ability, the pictures taken in George's studio can not be replicated.
Looking at the pictures my mom and I realized these pictures are a once in a lifetime opportunity, and having the ability to capture the moment is truly priceless. I remember a week later my mom and I viewed the slide show of the pictures taken. I looked over only to see my mom tearing up. I truly feel like i have been gifted with an heirloom that I can hand down to my family and future generation when I get older. The pictures George produced have a wow factor to them that leave the loved ones around me speechless!
Not only is George Dean a great photographer, but he is a visionary. Once he feels the instinct for a shot he is able to create artwork.
I hope others are able to take advantage of this opportunity as we luckily did, and i hope to work with him again in the future!
George's Response: Erik, you are a class act. A true gentleman. It was so much fun working with you to create the images your family deserves.By: Erik Wingfield - Fort Worth Texas
"George is a master at color, lighting, and utilizing shadows to cast the most brilliant effect in every photograph. His artistic approach to photography is unique and the result is priceless. "
I recently had Austin’s senior portraits taken with George and I was so happy with the entire experience.
We pulled up to his studio on a Saturday morning and George was there to greet us and help unload the car. He was courteous, friendly and very professional and Austin felt completely comfortable with him right away.
George chose a variety of outfits from classic to edgy that complimented his vision for each group of photos.
After the session was over, Austin had only positive, rave reviews to share regarding his experience.
The following week, my husband, Austin and I met George at his studio to view the proofs. We settled in on the couch, the lights dimmed, and…we…were…blown…away!
George not only took amazing photographs of Austin but he captured the true essence of our son’s personality too.
George is a master at color, lighting, and utilizing shadows to cast the most brilliant effect in every photograph.
His artistic approach to photography is unique and the result is priceless.
My husband and I are thrilled to have such beautiful portraits to display in our home and we would highly recommend George to anyone looking for a superior photographer.

George's Response: WOW.... Thanks so much Amy. Your background as a designer shines brightly in this amazing email you sent me. I am blown away by your amazing words!
"You were able to capture his best qualities, and essential nature, in a photograph; that can only be accomplished by someone with truly amazing talent.
Everyone who has seen his pictures has told us Alex should be a model, but that is simply the magic you’re able to create".
"The way you chose my clothes, the background and lighting for each photograph was amazing - your insight and talent are truly a gift! "
Letter from Alex's Mom, Linda
From the moment I saw your work, I couldn’t imagine anyone else taking Alex’s senior pictures – something that important could only be trusted to the very best and that is what you are. Although I must admit I wasn’t sure what to expect when we arrived for his appointment, your professionalism and kindness immediately put us at ease. You made my son feel very special, and it shows in every one of the photographs you took.
I find it amazing that you were able to capture his best qualities, and essential nature, in a photograph; that can only be accomplished by someone with truly amazing talent. Everyone who has seen his pictures has told us Alex should be a model, but that is simply the magic you’re able to create.
Thank you so much for the memories of this wonderful moment in his life.
